The map below illustrates the reconstruction of Pentland and developments occurs between 1980 to 2008. An overall a huge construction during this period converted the unpopular area of the sea into an important colony.
As we see in 1980 it only consists of a road which leads toward sea and car park on north of road with grass land and on other side their was a small industrial area. However, the rest of the land on both side of the road covered by grass which made it unpupolated area.
But in 2008 a massive development and construction occurs changed into location with full of life and human activities. A new circular road around the sea built and yatch marina developed in ocean. On north side of road in upper block apartments and different kind of shops including money shops created, although on lower block a whole new housing society formed. On south of road in area next to sea had car parking, park and swimming pool while in lower half only cinema is constructed.
In new map car park is shifted toward south of road and was multi-storey and industrial area which was orignally located there removed. This location basically changed from factory area into housing coloney.
