The given map illustrates the present of the centre of a town called Islip and its projected development.

On the whole, as can be seen form the map, there will be considerable changes between the present and the future. Some new housing and the new road is forecasted to be established. Moreover, more facilities including the shopping centre and bus station would be constructed in the town centre during the future development.

Turning to detail, in the present, the main road, located between two rows of shops, runs through the town centre. In the north of the centre lies the countryside of the town. The housing group is built in the middle of the town centre and the south of the centre area. Furthermore, a park and a school are situated in the east and south-east of the town centre, respectively.

In terms of projected modification, the countryside will disappear in the future. The most striking point is that the entire city centre would be encircled by dual carriageway. The rows of shops lying in the north of the town centre would be demolished, and several new services such as bus station, shopping centre, and parking lot, would be established. Furthermore, the main road running through the centre area would be transformed to a pedestrian area. New housing will be founded beside the garden area which will be smaller than now.
