The given circular chart depicts the information about the main four causes of land degradation (over-cultivation, over-grazing, deforstation and other) while, the tabular chart illustrates the regions , which were affected by these causes in the year of 1990.The data is calibrated in percentum.
It can be seen that about one third proportion of global's land is affected by overgrazing, which is recorded as the highest proportion. In addition, exact 30% of world's land becomes less productive due to the deforsation. Moreover, over-cultivation or other.
As far as trend was concerned, the maximum land was degraded in Europe (23%) in the year of 1990, in which contribution of deforsation, over-cultivation and over-grazing were 9.8%, 7.7% and 5.5% respectively. Furthermore, North America contributed to the least land degradation. Oceania had no over-cultivation however, it had the highest over-grazing that leads to 13% of the global's land degradation.
Overall, it is evident that over-grazing activity is the major cause of land degradation compare to the other three main reasons however, Europe contributed to the maximun land degradation.
