Contained in the pie chart provided is data pertaining to the proportion of males and females arrested in the five years ending 1994, while the bar graph demonstrates different reasons for arrest in both sexes. Overall, the percentage of males arrested was higher than that of females, and public drinking was the most common reason in this five years period.

In regard to the pie chart, one sees that females committed less crime than males over the given period. It is evident that the proportion of women who were arrested just slightly accounted 9%, whereas the same figure in men was nearly four times higher, at 32% of total.

Turning into the bar chart, there were five common types of crimes committed by both genders. Apparently, the top reason illustrated in the chart was public drinking which made up just over 30% in men and well over 35% in women. The second popular reason for women arrested was assault, which gained roughly 20%, while drink driving, around 26%, was the next common reason for men arrested beside public drinking. The percentages of women who committed drink driving, breach of order and theft hovered around from 12.5% to 14%. The proportions of breach of order, assault and theft committed by men were approximately 18%, 16% and 14%, respectively. In addition, there were nearly 20% of men and about 17% of women arrested by other reasons.

Finally, it is also worth noting that almost 5% of men and 7% of women denied telling their reason for being arrested.
