The pie charts and table give information about the total value and sources of fish imported to the US between 1988 and 2000.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The charts below illustrate the value mass and origins of imported fish in the United States from 1988 to 2000.

It is really clear that the value of imported fish rose gradually, and the fish sources proved some significant changes through the years.

In the year of 1988, total value of imported fish was 6.57 billion dollars. This year also saw the domination of Canada's fish, which took more than half of the proportion. At 1992, the value increased nearly a third, with almost 2 more billions added to it. Canada at this year set a huge drawback, with only 34% remained. On the other hand, China saw a slight growth in proportion. Other sources from around the globe took up almost 50% of the margin. To the year of 2000, again, total market mass rose up to 10.7 billion dollars. At this period of time, Canada got their proportion shrunk to just 30%. That is only one-third from the rate at 1988. China skyrocketed all the way to 30%, while the remaining source oscillated a little bit, with only 4% of its own margin vanished.
