The pie charts compare the mean expenses made by a family in housing, transport, food, health care, and other services in two different Asian countries in 2010.

Overall, people in Malaysia spend the maximum proportion of earning in housing whereas in Japan expenditure are made on other goods and services. In both countries, pupils seem to be less health-conscious, with a minimal budget on health care.

According to the chart, in Japan, 29% of earnings are spent on other products rather than basic needs. People merely spend more than and equals to 20% of their income on transport, food, and housing. Japnese are less concerned about health they allocate an extremely low budget for it, it's 6%.

In Malaysia, the majority of expenses are made on Housing by families, it's 34% of the total. Foods are the second priority it carries more than a quarter and similar expenses are made on luxurious items. Even, Malaysians spend the least proportion in the health sector which is still 3% less than Japnese.
