The plans below show the site of an airport now and how it will look after redevelopment next year

The maps depict the Southwest Airport renovation that will take place in the next year.
From a broad view, it is clear that the number of gates will substantially increase, and that a range of customer-facing amenities, such as stores, vehicle rental, and an ATM, will be implemented.
The departure and arrival exits will remain in their current locations, but extra doors will be installed. There is presently only one check-in and café as you enter the airport. In order to make way for a bag drop area and the relocation of the café, the future design calls for relocating check-in from the left to the right side of the departure space. The arrival area will include a café, ATM, and vehicle rental, all of which will need the building to be expanded in size.
The port will undergo a substantial transformation in terms of design, adopting a Y-shaped architecture that will result in a large increase in its area. The variety of Brandenburg gates will be increased from 8 to 18 as a result. As a consequence of the modifications in design, a sky railway will be constructed in the middle of the dock, replacing the walkway. The security area, which is located between the pier and the departure/arrival halls, will mostly stay intact, with the exception of the emergence of businesses near the security checkpoints.
