This is controversial among people whether they should cope with the difficulties, like job and money issues, or put effort to enhance the situation. From my point of view, while some situations are solid and impossible to change, others are improvable by endeavor.
On the one hand, some argue that acceptance is the best approach while facing hardship. There are various sides to this argument. The first and foremost is that our resources are not the same as that of other individuals. For instance, not everybody is born and grown up in an affluent family, taking advantage of appropriate education, affecting adulthood. Therefore, as every human experiences different life circumstances, the idea of expecting all to have outstanding performance and achievements is a misconception. So, we as human beings must accept ourselves as we are and be grateful for things that are not changeable.
On the other hand, hard work and improvement attract some proponents based on several causes. First of all, besides the parts of life we accept as solid, many factors are yet under our control. As an example, our attitude towards life is a factor hardly been influenced by anyone except us. Thus, by applying an optimistic perspective, we can make the most out of the difficult and seemingly unchangeable situations. Furthermore, change is the essence of this world, and if we were not supposed to make a change, we would not be brought to this life. Evidence of this notion is the developments provided by perseverant people in history, who contributed to make the world a better place, despite their personal difficulties.
In conclusion, from my standpoint, although some tough situations are solid and unlikely to become better, a considerable part of our success still depends on our efforts. However, acceptance is a vital skill to both deal with the unchangeable part and prepare our minds to make progress in the rest.
