End of highschool years could be scary for many people. It marks the start of a new era in life, Beginning the journey of adulthood. Some important decisions need to be made that can direct a person's path in life. Such as what job they want to have or which major they should study in which will also effect their future job.

Some people believe that this important choices shouldn't be rushed or recent highschool graduates are not experienced enough to make these choices that could alter their lives forever. So, travelling around the world, visiting different places and meeting new people with diverse culture and life style can give them the experience they need for starting their adulthood, plus some sense of independence. IT could also give them sometime to get to know themselves and their likes and dislikes.

There are also other group of young people who can not wait to start their grown up days. the may have already planed for their future and know what they want from life, chose they future working field or the study subject that interests them. For them the idea of postponing their plans for a year could be a horrible waste of time. Waiting for yet another year for chasing their dreams may seem like torture.

personally, I BELIEVE THAT it depends on the person. If someone thinks that he or she is not ready for that decision and needs more time and adventure it is good to give them the opportunity. But if someone has already made up his or her mind there is no reason for a delay.
