This graph chart indicates the number of prisoners in 5 countries including the Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, United States and Canada from 1930 to 1980.

The figures for number of prisoners during the year 1930 and 1940 in Great Britain were same as 30,000. However over the 4 decades, in year 1980, the number of prisoners rose dramitically to 80,000. In Australia, 1970 witnessed the highest number criminals imprisoned amounting to almost 80,000 with the sharp decline in 1980, the figure amounting to 50,000.

In the overall comparison, Newzealand and U.SA reported the exact number of figures as 100,000 in 1930. Over the years, number of prisoners in New-zealand were fluctuating to lower figures in 1940 as well as 1950 and suddenly there was sharp increase in figure increasing to 70,000. In comparison to Newzealnd, the number of prisoners in U.SA kept on increasing slightly from 1930 to 1960 and finally reduced from 100,000 in 1930 to 90,000 in 1980.

Out of all these five countries, Canada has the highest number of prisoners reporting 1,20,000 in 1930 and finally increased to 1,40,000 prisoners in 1980.
