The table below shows how much time males and females spent per day on non work activities in one European country during 2005 Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant

The table illustrates the amount of time each day used by the average men and women apart from their regular office hours. The data was taken among the age group of over 16 years, in one of the European countries, in the year 2005.

Overall, housework and childcare was the kind of activities in which involvement of female was by far higher than that of male; however, other activities are similar in all aspects. Interestingly, both sex had ample sleep and rest.

According to the table, an average female spent almost twice as much time as a male for household and childcare (3 hours 32 mins and 1 hour 56 mins). It is evident that an average woman spent 48 mins in personal care whereas the time spent by the opposite sex was 8 mins lesser compared to the former. Similarly, women involved 1 hour 32 mins and 26 mins in socializing and reading while it was just slightly less for men, at 1 hour 22 mins and 20 mins respectively. females are a little bit helpful than males, as it could be plainly seen that the former spent 5 mins more than the latter in voluntary work.

However, in the case of games and sport and audio-visual entertainment, males are dominant with almost double the time consumption in the case of the former and 25mins more for the latter. The average time spent for rest and sleep was considerably higher, 8 hours 47 mins and 9 hours 6 mins for male and female respectively.
