The data source compares the percentage of 7 notebook computer producers in the global market in three different years 2006,2007 and 2014.

It is evident that HP was by far the leading manufacturer, while the opposite was true for Fujitsu.

In 2006, the market share of HP was in excess of 31% ,roughly doubling that of Dell and higher by nearly 20% than that of Samsung. During the next 8 years, the proportion of Dell and HP in the international market reflected a dramatic increase of 10% for the former and a small rise of about 4% for the latter. Meanwhile, Samsung sales dropped a mere minority of 1%, followed by a mild acceleration of roughly 4%.

Looking at the table in more details, the market share in the first year of Lenovo stood at the fourth place with 6.6.%,while that of Toshiba and Fujitsu was at the fifth and sixth with 6.2% and 4.8% respectively. Moreover, the data in 2014 showed that Toshiba surpassed Lenovo in terms of the market share and become the fourth well-known company in notepad industry with 1% higher and far beat Fujitsu. Over the period, other brands contributed less and less to the world market share at 22,8% in 2006, slightly decelerating to 19.3% in 2007 and plunging to 7,11% in the last year.
