The table illustrates the percentage of students taking part in four types of secondary schooling in the period of from 2000 to 2009.
In general, the tendency of join in community schools significantly increased higher throughout the period. Meanwhile, the drop in the other of secondary education gradually changed lower in those years.
The schools for the social community was the lowest percentage, which similar to specialist schools, gained 12%. Through nine years, public schools became the most popular trend that attracted most students, more than 50% in 2009 compared to 2000.
In contrast, Voluntary-controlled schools which was the highest percentage, reached 52%, dramatically decreased to 20% in 2009. Following to the rest, grammar schools sharply fell a half, from 24% to 12% in 2000 to 2009 respectively. Finally, the school for the special people join in had a moderate change, declined by 1% about each 5-year period from the data shown.
