The table shows the worldwide market share of the mobile phone market for manufactures in the years 2005 and 2006.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given table illustrates the sales data (in percentage) for different mobile companies in the context of global market contribution for the years 2005 and 2006.

Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that over the period as a whole, with a noticeable surge, Nokia continued to dominate the worldwide market, followed next by Motorola, Samsung, and others. Also, over time, sales of all but three brands plummeted significantly.

To begin with, the highest proportion of 32.5% was witnessed in Nokia sales, compared to Motorola, and Samsung, with 17.7%, and 12.7% respectively. Furthermore, whilst Sony Ericsson, L.G, and Benq mobile observed only 6.3%, 6.7%, and 4.9% of the total sales, more than three-times of those were reported from the other brand's sales.

Turning to 2006, the sales proportion of Nokia, Motorola, and Sony Ericsson experienced an upward trend, reaching 35%, 21.1%, and 7.4% respectively. However, by contrast, a marginal dip plunged the sales share of Samsung, L.G, BenQ mobile, and others down to only 11.8%, 6.3%, 2.4%, and 16.2% by the period end.
