Task 1: The line graph below gives information about the percentage of women aged 15-64 in employment between 2003 and 2009.
The line chart illustrates the proportion of women aged 15-64 in employment during the period of 6 years from 2003 to 2009 in 5 nations, namely: Iceland, Canada, Germany, Chile, Turkey.
As an overall trend, it is immediately that while employment level of women in this group of all countries witnessed a downward trend, except for the figure for Iceland and Chile. Noticeably, the proportion of women aged 15-64 in the employment of Iceland are by far the most popular among the other countries.
As regards Iceland’s women aged 15-64 in employment rate from 2005 onwards, having stagnation at 80% of females aged 15-64 had jobs opposed to merely under 70% for Canadian, followed by the figure for Germany was low at 60%. The reverse occurred with respect to the figure for Chile and Turkey, the percentage of employed females Chile was an escalated markedly by 10% from 2003 to 2005, the opposite was true for the figure for Turkey was declined gradually.
Over subsequent 4 years, the number of all nations namely Canada, Germany, Chile, Turkey which is witnessed a marked escalation of approximately 1% to 5%, except for Iceland was reached around 82%.
