The two graphs show the main sources of energy in the USA in the 1980s and the 1990s.Write a report for a university lecturer describing the changes which occurred.

The two provided pie charts bestow an acumen about the foremost sources of energy in the united states of America and it illustrates the two distinct years 1980s and 1990s.

In 1980, oil was the major source for the USA in both the time periods which was highly used to fabricate 42% energy in 1980 s and 33% in 1990 s but when it came to natural gas, it had a cardinal role to create the energy equally in both the years. Turning to coal, the percentage increased to 27% in 1990s from 22% in 1980s.

Furthermore, the least contribution can be clearly seen in the source of hydroelectric power just by 5% Whereas the nuclear power showed an escalation of 5% in the upcoming year 1990s as compare to the previous year.

Overall, it is evident that except hydroelectric power and nuclear energy, the other sources such as oil, natural gas and coal all these were the major source of energy in the USA during both the decades.
