The graph below shows the changes in food consumption by Chinese people between 1985 and 2010.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The graph gives details about the amount of food a person consume per week in China during the time of 1985 to 2010.

Overall, Chinese had the tendency to eat more meat and salt while the consumption of salt tend to fall. It can easily be seen that the quantity of fish consumed were higher than either meat or salt.

During the first ten year of the period, the amount of fish eaten by people in China fluctuated. Started with 600 grams a person per week in 1985, this rose to 700 in the next five years then decline by 100 in half a decade. After that, they increase gradually to reach its peak at 850 grams in 2010. Meat also had the rise tendency like fish during this 25 years. In 1985, the consumption amount of meat stood at 100 grams, then steadily increased every year up to 200 gram in 2010.

Different from the others food, salt were the one that witnessed significant decline. In the 80s of the 20 centuries, Chinese ate a amount of salt which is 500 grams to be more specific. Later on, this figure dropped significantly to 200 in 2010.
