I am writing this letter to raise our concerns with respect to opening of a factory in our neighborhood. We are residents of Changi Simei Zone 3 and have been living here for past 15 years. Although there is a huge vacant land in the vicinity of our residential place, we still believe that it would not be an appropriate location to start a new factory.
Firstly, there are two schools in the neighborhood and starting a factory will cause a lot of disturbance and distraction to the faculty as well as the students. This is turn could result in slow progress of the students academically as the lessons will be interrupted quite often. Apart from the noise pollution and other related problems, we can foresee operational issues as well. Like overcrowding and utility requirements of the workers who will in turn like to stay in the nearby areas. Also, the residents of this area will feel threatened to step out of their houses and play peacefully in the garden with their children. Moreover, the number of workers could possibly cause traffic related issues leading to delays during peak hours. Therefore, it is not a very viable option to put residents in jeopardy while planning to incept a new factory. Lastly, we would like to suggest the outskirts of Changi area near the airport where there is plenty of space available with no one around the vicinity for your review.
We sincerely hope if you could look into this situation in depth, weigh the drawbacks carefully before concluding this deal. Looking forward for your swift reply.
