A friend has agreed to look after your house and pet while you are on holiday.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
• Give contact details for when you are away
• Give instructions about how to care for your pet
• Describe other household duties

Dear Evan,
I’m just writing to thank you for agreeing to house sit for me while I’m away next week.
I’ll be staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Manhattan. To reach me you just need to call reception and they will redirect the call to my room. If it’s urgent, please don’t hesitate to call me on my mobile phone. I’ve written all the contact details on a sticky note that I left on the fridge.
My dog needs to be fed twice daily, so each morning and evening put two teacups of dog biscuits in his dish. You will find these in the kitchen pantry. Also check throughout the day that he has fresh water in his bowl to make sure he stays hydrated.
I’d also like you to water my plants. The indoor ones located in the lounge room only need to be watered once every few days but the ones on the balcony require water once a day unless it’s been raining. For security purposes, please keep the outside lights on at night.
Keep in touch
Suri
