Dear Mark,
I'm writing to let you know about holidays that we had planned. I won't be able to come to your mother land as I have an important work in my office to take care of.
First of all, thank you so much for inviting me in your country for holidays. I know, we had planned this holiday since long and you had organised every details of trip. Trust me even I'm excited for this trip as much as you are but I'm sorry, I can't come.
As you know I have recently changed my job and I was not aware about my role in new organisation so I thought, It will be convenient for me to visit your place. However, the workload in current profile suddenly increased as my company is awarded with new project which is to be completed over the coming holidays. My supervisor requested me to cancel my holidays as this work is very much significant for organisations growth and it will also boost my career hence, I have to cancel my vacation.
Although, I can't accept your invitation for this holidays I have a good news, I can visit your place during Christmas holidays. Let me know your availability during Christmas, I would love to see you.
Hope you will understand. I look forward to hearing from you so that I can book my tickets accordingly.
Best wishes,
Steve
