A friend of yours has recently had a baby and you have bought a present for this occasion.

Write a letter to this friend. In your letter
• describe the present you have bought
• explain why you have chosen this present
• suggest arrangements for a possible visit to bring the present to your friend

Dear Marie,

I want to congratulate your family on the birth of your daughter Sarah. I saw her photo on Facebook and she is very pretty and cute. I think she looks just like you. She is also very big and healthy.

I bought an electronic baby- monitor for you because I am sure that it will be very useful.
I think that this baby monitor would benefit you because I got one when I had my son. Now I can work and rest calmly. I hope that it also can assist you as well.

I know that the first week is so exhausting, so I intend to visit after one month, what do you think? If you don’t mind or if you need help, I can go early. Please, feel free to let me know what I can do to help you, ok? I can’t wait to see you.

All the best,

Mônica
