My name is Mary Anne, a resident on St George's street, lane no. 5. I am writing to apply for the voluntary work position that your museum has posted in Times job last week.
I am a student at Oxford university, studying History as my Honors. So as having a good understanding of the ancient artefacts that are there in your museum, I would like to take this opportunity of volunteering at the museum and share my knowledge with the people visiting the museum. Also, such work will be added to my internship year as well as on the Resume which will really help me to outstand during my job search.
Along with the knowledge, I would like to share my skills as well, I have great communication skills, I am fluent in English and in Spanish which is a plus point as this museum have many visitors from Spanish speaking country. Also, as this museum is located near my house, I have been a regular visitor to the museum due to my interest and sometime for my study purpose. So, I have a good knowledge of which artefacts are placed where and the importance of them.
I would really appreciate to have this voluntary work at your museum. I would be available to start the work from 12th December till mid of January, as my Winter vacations are starting from then. I will be waiting for your positive reply.
