On a recent holiday you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything you lost. Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter:
- describe the item you lost;
- explain how you lost it;
- tell the insurance company what would you like them to do.
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you about an urgent matter which occured during my holiday last week. I have lost a neckless that was supose to be an annivesary present for my wife. This object is covered in silver, have a small diamond on the bottom centre and other jewels around him.
Let me explain you in details what happened. The neckless was bought in an auction for five thousand dollars and I have the receipt to prove it which I am sending to you. It was in the Saint Angelo's day, a very famous holiday in Brazil, a country that I am spending my brief vacation. When I went back to the hotel, after I prepared my suitcase, I decided to relax in the bar. However, surprisingly, the taxi came in faster that I expected and went drove me straight to the airport. I noticed my the neckless wasn't in my possesion two days later, after I organized my handbag from my trip.
So, I wonder if the insurance company could heko retrieve the neckless or refund the amount of money I had spent in the gift, since I bought it with the company's card. Besides, both of my requests are legal because I was in an international trip and used the card to make the purchase.
I look forward to hearing from you with the next step of the process.
Yours faithfuly,
Rafael
