I am Roya Moradi, and writing this letter on behalf of residences of Hafez Street to express our dissatisfaction with the waste collection process in our district.
The garbage collection lorry comes to our neighborhood three days a week; however, due to the increase in the number of residences, this schedule is not adequate. Garbage bins become full within the day after they are emptied. As a result locals have to leave their wastes outside.
Due to this problem, the number of cockroaches, mosquitoes, and rodent are increased. Consequently, more people are getting sick, especially infectious disease. Additionally, fully bins make a pungent smell which is seeping into the locals’ house and this contaminated air make old age and children sick. Furthermore, this problem cause to an inappropriate appearance of this street.
I would like to suggest that local councils should revise the waste collection of the Hafez Street at least five days a week. Moreover, if change the bins with the larger ones, rubbish will not leave outside.
