Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to put an official complain about a noise that it is being created from the construction work just outside my house on North Road.

My name is Ayoub. I have been a resident at number 178 house on North Road over 10 years, and I have never had reason to complain to the council before. When the road works started closest to my house last month, they brought heavy vehicles and machinery which create unbearable noise.

However, the street is in residential area, the maintenance work does not stop even at night. People who live in the vicinity and I are getting disturbed daily from the construction; furthermore, we are not able to have a peaceful sleep at night. This is reflecting into our performance at work, and children concentration on their studies.

I came to know that many people have reported the same issue to the council, and it is being investigated by the road maintenance department. I would therefore request that you advise the project team to cancel their night shift and ensure that they minimize any noise from the construction work in the morning.

I look forward to the problem being resolved.

Yours faithfully,

Ayoub
