Introduce yourself, explain what the problem is, suggest solutions to the problem
Dear Sir or Madam,
My name is Kumar Sampad and I am residing at Dawes Road of Danforth, Toronto for the last four years. I am writing to express my concern regarding the noise arising from the road construction work at the crossing of Dawes Road and Main Street since yesterday morning. I understand they are improving the damaged road, however, people in the surrounding area are facing a lot of disturbances owing to this heavy maintenance work. First of all, I am not being able to concentrate on my study in the evening for the ongoing final examination at my university. I think the same problem is being faced by the other students too residing nearby. Since the work is ongoing for 24-hours, it is affecting the sleep of the residents of that community, particularly, the kids and the senior citizens are suffering from that unbearable noise at night.
I would like to suggest that the task is being done for a stipulated time-frame from 10 am to 7 pm instead of working 24-hours. Furthermore, the addition of larger manpower may help to finish the task rapidly.
I look forward to a positive response.
Yours faithfully,
Kumar Sampad.
