Write a letter to a friend telling him/her that you’re going back to your home town and you want to give him/her some furniture. Please say
– why you thought about him/her
– describe the furniture
– suggest a way for him/her to get it
Dear Mathew,
Hope you are doing well. It has been a long time since we last met. I am writing this letter in reference to inform you that I will be relocating back to my hometown Delhi due to a transfer order from my existing firm.
Since I will be permanently moving to Delhi and I have some furniture which I would like to give to you. I remember the last time we met at your place you told me you needed a dining table and some chairs. The furniture I have is a dining table and chairs which I recently bought from IKEA. It has a modular design and is made of teak moreover the chairs have a fancy leather cushion which provides comfort while sitting.
I suggest you come over to my place to have a look at the furniture next weekend and it will also be a great opportunity to meet you after a long time. For transportation, you will need to arrange a local shipper to ship the item to your place. If you have any trouble finding a shipper I know a person who will be able to help in the shipping process.
I look forward to your response and seeing you soon.
Warm Wishes
Brian
