I hope this mail find you well. I am writing this letter to express my sincerest apology for not showing up for our date last Friday night.
I am truly sorry that I did not contact you and let you wait disappointed for the whole evening. If fact, although I tried to phone you ahead of this unexpected incident, my phone was out of network and then ran out of battery for the whole day.
On that Friday morning, when I was having breakfast, my cousin called and informed me that our uncle Ben just suffered a serious car accident and he was brought to the hospital in a life-threatening situation. Then, I spent all day in the hospital to take care of him, which made me be unable to attend our meeting.
It would be great if we could re-schedule another date. I will be free this Saturday from 6 p.m. Please let me know if it works for your availability.
