I am Alka Bhat, resident of Jain nagar colony and I am writing you this letter to draw your attention towards the existing vulnerable condition of the roads in my area. Every year municipality corporation constructs the roads but I think the material they use to redesign roads is so cheap that they have to come over and over again for reconstruction of roads.
The roads have completely deteoriated and there is no single place left which is good to walk or drive. There are numerous big and small pits on the road due to which four accidents took place in the last 15 days. Recently, one motorbike landed into the pit at night and the man suffered serious head injuries. Last month, a family of three encountered such a big accident that woman suffered fracture of displaced collar bone.
The roads have completely turned into the way to hell. Residents of my area are facing a lot of problems due to the unexplainable conditions of roads. These kind of accidents are not posing threat to only those who are driving but also to pedestrians. There are chances of collision of vehicles with pedestrians due to imbalance which will lead to damage to vehicle and death of an individual in and out of the car. Moreover, being a low-lying area, water from nearby industrial areas had accumulated on the roads and completely clogged the pits and sewage as well. Eventually, accumulation of water is also contributing factor to epidemic breakout.
To resolve this problem, least municipality or local councils can do is to fill the digs and pits first on priority. Then, authorities can initiate with the process of reconstruction of roads.
I hope that you will show immediate concern towards the dreadful condition of the roads.
