Write a letter to the manager to ask for permission that you would like to participate in a training course.
In your letter, you should:
give details of the course
why it is useful for you
how it will benefit your work.
Dear Mr. Khan,
I am writing this letter to acquire your permission for participation in a training course, which will be helpful for me and the company.
The course is organized by University of Sydney and its title is “Project Management with Communication”. Its duration is four weeks and classes will not affect my work, as they are in the evenings from 7 PM to 9 PM. It will commence on February 26, 2019 and finish on March 27, 2019.
This course would be advantageous for my personal grooming. This is because some very imperative skills will be taught in it, such as time management, coping with difficult situations, dealing with work pressure and speaking with confidence.
However, it will not only be worthwhile for me but also for the company. Since I am working in the department of projects that deals with several projects at a time, the above traits will increase company’s productivity. Communication is one of the key requirements on which our number of clients depends; therefore, it is important to polish it for the benefit of our organization.
I hope that the above reasons are convincing enough for your favorable and swift response.
Yours sincerely,
Salman Khan
