Write a letter to your friend about a job opportunity you came across that they might find interesting.

In your letter, you should:
give some details about the job
mention how you came across the job opportunity
explain why you feel the job would be suitable for your friend

Dear John,

I hope you're doing well and how's the young Sarah? Well, I'm writing to share one job opening with you that I think you might be interested in applying.

With regard to the job, there is a vacancy for the position of a software engineer in Microsoft, where I work. It's a full-time job and the organization is looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in any programming language.

As for the vacancy, it was yesterday that my manager told me that there are few job openings and asked me for any reference. Your name strike first to my mind and I thought of sharing this news with you. You'd definitely be a strong candidate to fill this position.

I think that this would be a wonderful opportunity for you to switch job, as you mentioned during summer vacation that you want to return to your original IT career from the sales job. Moreover, the job location would be the same as your current location so Sarah's school won't be impacted by the job change. Maybe you should consider all the positive aspects of this role and decide.

Let me know if you find it suitable for you and I'll refer you for this position. Also, say my hi to both Amy and Sarah.

Best wishes,
Ell
