You and your family are living in rented accommodation in an English speaking country. You are not satisfied with the condition of some of the furniture.

Write a letter to your landlord. In your letter

introduce yourself
explain what is wrong with the furniture
say what action you would like the landlord to take

Dear Mr. Franklin,

I am Alex Turner and I am writing this letter to you in concern with the non-bearable furniture of your Cleveland Street apartment which you have rented me last week.

Firstly, when you rented me this apartment you mentioned in the lease that its fully furnished and all the furniture is newly developed. However, when we begin our living here we noticed that the cupboard in the bedroom is well-looking from outside but broken from inside. In addition, the bed of room on right is full of termites and no one can sleep on it.

Secondly, the curtain holder is loose and that's why when we were sleeping all the time curtain falls down and the light from the street disturbs our sleep. I can take legal actions against you pertaining fraud with us but, I do not want any legal authorities until you solve this matter soon so that, I need you to repair or change all these things as soon as possible otherwise, I am tied up to take actions on you as I have the lease agreement with me.

To conclude, I hope you understand our problems and solve it as soon as possible. Otherwise, I am tied up to take legal actions on you. I am waiting for your immediate response.

Yours sincerely,
Alex Turner
