I am writing this letter to inform you that I would not be able to join your company for the position of Manager Data Analytics on the committed joining date which is May 28, 2019 owing to my aunt’s critical condition.
My aunt had a heart attack yesterday and she is in critical condition. Doctor has advised by-pass surgery which is being scheduled on May 29, 2019. All her children are abroad and there is no one to look after her. Her husband passed away last year. Therefore, I had to stay with her at hospital during the surgery and even after that until her children arrive.
I would like to request you to kindly extend my joining date one week ahead that is July 4, 2019 because me and my family are in great distress these days due to the current situation and I would not be able to concentrate at work.
