Dear Sir,
As discussed earlier in the annual meeting that was on 20th December 2019, i have prepared a full revised plan to upgrade our marketing strategies for the year 2020. Also, i have discussed it with the marketing head Mr. Preston, and soon we will be laying out our plan to others as well, before we enter the new year. The main reason for writing this letter is to ask you to grant me 10 days leave to attain my sister's wedding.
As i have mentioned above, my sister is getting married on 24th of January 2020, and the wedding is supposed to be held in my hometown, which is Ahmedabad city. She is my only sister and i really have to be there in her wedding, and my family is expecting me to be there too.
I will have to leave from work on 21st of January 2020 and i will be back by 30th January, so i can rejoin work on 31st morning. I know i am asking for too many days, but as my hometown is quiet far form here, 3 days i will need for travelling.
Though i wont be at office, but i will try to be available on phone, if anything comes up. I have talked with Lucy regarding the marketing plan and how to handle the promotional event, she will be working with Mr. Preston in my absence. Also, after coming back i will work extra hours to complete all the necessary documentation that i will need to submit.
I hope this arrangement works out for all of us, and i am hoping you to sanction my leave.
