Hello Dean,
I am writing a complaint about your low quality “one-day-course.” The course is on the topic of “robot companion faking turning test to simulate human emotions.” It is good to be free, but it totally wasted my precious one-day vacation.
I am a miserable basement dweller and always day-dreaming to have an android companion. I thought I can attend your course and show support for future robotic development. However, what your college and you lecturers are demitting so much bias, I can’t stand by this anymore. The goal of engineering, especially anthropology architect is about mastering artificial process mimicking nature, not ethics bluffing. While all you trying to fit in the one-day-course is the danger of robot taking away human jobs, and good young man marrying underaged androids.
I hope you are aware that you are receiving public grand for public education, not money from interest groups serving the very few. The general principle of such one-day-course is either to spread scientific discovery or generate a healthy discussion in a public forum. Your pitiful, cheap political agenda ruined everything.
This letter is not mean to be a lawsuit threat or cease or desist request. I am here simply trying to the voice of many young men like me. You can talk about robots, but robots are human, too.
