I'm writing to feel sorry for not making my presence at your birthday party. I know you worked hard to make all the arrangements to make this party a fun-filled event for everyone and It was my bad to miss it.
Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with my phone calendar and accidentally, I had set a reminder for the week ahead, so I was in the impression that the party is on next Friday. I know that the use of technology makes our life easier but in my case, it just worsened. Also, I regret not picking up your calls on the same day you were expecting me because my phone was on silent mode. But trust me it was unintentionally. I wanted to be a part of that celebration but I didn't due to this mistake.
I hope that you will forgive me this time and I'll be careful in future while setting such reminders. I've sent you belated birthday wishes with fresh flowers. Hope you'll like that.
