I'd like to apologize for not being able to attend your party last weekend, as i was caught up in an urgent work at the office.
I was so excited to learn about your promotion as chief of staff in your company,but you know me; I would never miss your party at any cost. However, there was some pressing business proposal that needed to be prepared for a meeting with a client from China, who was coming only to understand the deal and close it the same day. I didn't have an option but to stay back and complete it.
In future, I promise to not skip any of your events and for that, i propose to make the following amends in my schedule. Firstly, i'll always do my tasks on time and never leave it for the last minute. Secondly, i'll train my colleague in such a way that he will be able to get such work done at the zero hour. I hope that you will forgive me this time.
