Dear Mr.Smith,

I am writing this letter to inform you that, I have decided to resign from my current position effective from 30th of September.

I had a plan to change my field since I have been working for this Software Development industry for about fifteen years. So, I applied few management vacancies, and I got an offer from a well-recognized company which I never could reject. I hope this will be a new chapter in my life, and I believe that I will be succeeded as a manager since I have the skill.

I learned a lot from your company, and I do not have words to explain it. Since I have been working here for a long time, not only the knowledge but also experience also improved a lot. I believe that I got this new opportunity, because of the exposure I got from working with you all. Since I got the opportunity to play the Senior Lead position, I was able to improve my leadership qualities which helped to support to become a manager.

Thank you for all the given opportunities and support to improve my career. I should submit a reference letter to the new company. I believe that you will be the best person to provide it since I have been working under your supervision for a long time. Please do not forget to include my soft skills in addition to technical skills and other work-related activities.

I look forward to seeing you soon.

Yours Sincerely,
V.K
