Hope this letter finds you well.
As you're staying in abroad and has a keen interest to grab news about my country, I thought to write down a letter regarding hype news, which is being the tea time discussion, currently.
This news story is about the demonetization, declared by our Prime Minister, which means the new banknotes will supersede the old notes. Especially which are more than 500 bucks and notes below 100 rupees can be ignored. Moreover, people need to exchange their old notes in a government bank facility.
Though some people don't like the idea, the majority believe that it will bring back the black money to India and prosperity as well. People who didn't pay taxes, for example, and kept the money as hard cash, need to pay tax whilst depositing the money in the bank.
On top of that, it's also affected me, as I am a citizen of India. I have to deposit all the old notes into a bank so as to get back new notes in return. But I am happy for the great movement.
