Essay topics:

You have lost something on a bus and called customer service to get help. You weren't happy with their response. Write a letter to the bus company manager.

In your letter, you should:
describe the item you lost
explain why you weren't happy with the customer service
say what action you would like the company to take.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to enquire about the valuable item, which I lost while travelling from Delhi to Mumbai by 9 pm bus on 26th June. Even though I phoned customer service about it, I am exceedingly displeased with the response received.

The item in question was my Rolex Submarine dive watch, which has a stainless-steel bracelet and black bezel. I purchased it from a Rolex outlet in Delhi during my stay there and accidentally, I left it right there in the overhead compartment when I got off the bus.

As far as customer service is concerned, I am sorry to inform you that I am extremely dissatisfied with the response that I have received from one of your executives, Tanya. She simply refused to provide any assistance to get in contact with the bus driver. If she had arranged a call with any of the bus staff at that time, I would have given him instructions to keep the watch.

I would appreciate it if you would check with bus staff and enquire if they witnessed any such watch as mentioned above, as I was the last passenger on the bus. Perhaps It would be a good idea to well-instruct customer care executives to provide prompt assistance in such matters and I hope that a reputed company like yours would take prompt action in this regard.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
Ell
