I am writing this letter to express a concern regarding amendment in regulations proposed by local authorities.
I am Tim Frank and resident of Mumbai from past 20 years. Many of the residents in our vicinity own their cars as the local transportation is situated far from our area. However, many people including me wish to oppose about the rule which are laid down by the regime.
As per the new rule, if authorities find any car parked on the road then the owner will be imposed with a heavy fine. Although they station their vehicles within the limit informed by the council due to less parking space in the society, they have started receiving parking bills with a heavy fine stating that their vehicles are parked in no parking zone.
I believe local council should reconsider the changes and impose fine on that cars which are actually parked outside the restrictions laid by the government. Also, if possible request you to start public transportation which will be feasible for local residents.
