Essay topics:

You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work. Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter,
• describe the situation
• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work
• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer

Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to express my discomfort associated with my living arrangement provided by the university.
First of all, the room is a twin sharing rather than a single occupancy accommodation. I had specifically requested an individual room as it is my final year at college and want to focus on my studies as well as project work. However, I am unable to concentrate on my work due to the constant disturbance caused by my current roommate. Moreover, to make the matter worst, my room is in a close proximity of communal bathrooms. A constant chatting and talking of students starts early in the morning, disturbing my sleep and consequently the whole day.
I would like to request you to help me solve my problem by allocating me a new room which is free of nuisance, so that I could work properly. I hope that you would pay special attention towards my distress.
Waiting for your reply in anticipation.
Yours truly,
XXXX
