You recently lost your driving license and somebody found it and returned it back to you.

Write a letter thanking that person. Explain

1) Why the license is important to you?
2) Ask few questions how did he or she found it, and
3) Thank them.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I was surprised to receive a letter with no name. I was skeptical to open it initially but I felt that there was a card inside and opened it without any second though. I was elated to have found what I was looking for desperately. Allow me to elaborate.

I cannot believe that just few days before my departure I finally have my lost drivers license back with me. I cannot exhibit my current level of happiness. I needed this license to drive in USA along with my International Drivers License. The latter would hold no significance if I did not have the original Indian License. You are a Good Samaritan.

Further, I have some questions that are bothering me and I would like to put them across to you. Firstly, where did you find it? Secondly, why did you not contact me on the listed number? Finally, what made you believe that I still live at the address mentioned on the card?

I am falling short of words to express my gratitude to you. You have been a savior for me by going an extra mile to help me. I would be happy to be of some help to a good human being like you.

God bless you.

Yours sincerely,
Brad Jason
