Essay topics:

You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter:

1-Describe the training course.
2-Explain what the company could do to help you.
3-Say how the course will be useful for your job.

Dear Mr. Fred,

I am writing to express my interest in the training course where advertised in our company newsletter this month.

I have been working for the company over 10 years, and I have never been enrolled in any course before. The course relates to my core job description which is project management, and it will run for only five working days in our overseas branch where in Germany. If I managed to travel next week, I will catch up the course with its first cohort.

I submitted officially my interest though an application to the human resources department last week, but I did not receive their approval notification to date. Therefore, I would request that you address this matter personally with them and ensure that it is treated in priority to allow me to join the training course in the assigned schedule.

Course`s aim is to boost management and contractual skills in the industrial field, and it is extremely beneficial to my current work duties, especially for the current joint-venture contract. It has very special terms and conditions which should be reviewed and verified carefully from my end.

I look forward to receiving your feedback on my application as soon as possible.

Yours sincerely,

Ayoub
