Hello Igor,
I am ecstatic to know that your parents are finally visiting Zurich. I have known them my entire life and I know that it was their dream destination. I am happy to give my advice for their wonderful and comfortable stay in my city.
First of all, there are a lot of tourist attractions here and since we are centrally located all the tourist spots are in proximity compared to other countries. As such, I would recommend them taking a day trip to Mount Titlis and Lucerne. Those are a must do, when here.
Secondly, I would prefer them to stay in Old Town Zurich, just next to the Church. Even though it is a little expensive, but it is centrally located which means they can walk to most of the places.
Lastly, I would really love to host them for dinner at our new restaurant which is just 5 minutes’ walk from Old Town Zurich. It has been a decade since I last saw them. I cannot wait to see them.
