Your local newspaper is offering an award for people who have helped the community. Write a letter to the newspaper editor. In your letter

suggest someone you think should receive the award
describe what the person does to help the community
suggest an award that would be appropriate for this person

You should write at least 150 words.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

You should spend about 20 minutes on this task.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am happy to hear that your journal "Times of India" is offering an award for all those helping our community. I would like to nominate Mr. David, retired Principal of Government Girl's High school for all his good work done so far. He had helped his students a lot in his lifetime, both during his service and after his retirement.

The school in which he rendered his service didn't had a lending library for their students. Being a responsible person he started creating one, spending from his own pocket. Now the library has become a dwelling place of knowledge with more than 2000 books for students in completing their project work and learning new concepts. Moreover, he hired a person to clean and track records of books in the library.

Amongst all other people nominated so far, I believe Mr. David deserves "Helping Hand" award for all the help he had rendered so far, as a Principal.

I look forward to hearing from you soon upon the announcement on award winners.

Yours faithfully,
submitter.
