First, the money spend on such tickets will benefit both economically and socially, this will help artists and sportsman to showcase their talent.
Secondly, the person needs to experience the places and meet different people to understand their life style. Some time the experience can only be seen in reality.
Finally, some people have inner satisfaction to attend such events, monetary they are not bothered as this keep their passion fulfilled.
I see there is no harm in spending such events.
