teachers are vital parts of machinery for developments of society as a whole. Personally, i believe class="that">that teachers in the class="past">past were high valued and respected people compared to nowadays. I feel this way for two reasons, which i will explore in the following essay.
First of all, elitism and authoritism were more deeply rooted in the people of the class="past">past, and also some parts of the world, especially in asian countries strict custom and culture class="that">that highly value teachers were prevailed. class="my">my country's traditional culture class="is">is a compelling example of this. class="my">my country, Mongolia, has a long tradition of class="buddhist">buddhist culture class="that">that rooted deeply into the minds of people. In class="buddhist">buddhist culture, teachers are valaued class="even">even more class="than">than the Buddha himself, and class="buddhist">buddhist people take a class="teacher">teacher's word as a command of a king. class="even">even though class="my">my country became less religious to non religious class="due">due to communism, people in the communist era still hold the class="same">same value class="that">that class="teacher">teacher as someone class="superior">superior and class="have">have value. this class="view">view has lost its intense since class="my">my country became democratic. Now people class="view">view class="teacher">teacher as someone who class="is">is doing his job and may not be class="superior">superior because class="he">he or class="she">she class="is">is class="same">same as anyone else.
Secondly, class="due">due to technological advances and development of information technology, especially class="internet">internet, knowledge or class="process">process of getting information has become easly. As a result teachers, class="even">even for somecases, seem unnecessary or class="even">even against one's class="process">process of acquiring knowledge. To be more specific, nowadays there are tons of educational websites and online materials class="that">that anyone class="can">can use anytime. In the class="past">past college students must wrote everything down in order to keep class="up">up with class, but nowadays the most lessons of classes class="can">can be found from class="internet">internet. If student misses class, class="he">he or class="she">she class="can">can easily catch class="up">up class. As information prevails its value decrease so class="that">that of a class="teacher">teacher. The position of teachers class="have">have become more of guide class="than">than knowledge giver.
In conclusion, i strongly believe class="that">that the value of teachers has decreased. this class="is">is because the respectful culture of appreciating teachers are over and advancement of information technologu.
