Recently , I noticed that more people think that telling lies would save them lots of troubles , ameliorate their picture in front others ,as well as provide them with good personal relationships .
I totally disagree with that opinion and I believe that although it is not always easy to tell the truth , it is always the right thing to do and being honest is the most important consideration in any relationship between people .
First of all , how can I trust a person who tells lies all the time or even one time ? I remember my father used to tell me that one ,needs a whole life to prove Himself as an honest individual and only one lie to show others that he is a liar and not a trustworthy .
As an example of how people can loose trust in someone after only one lie is what happened with my brother in his first engagement, he was engaged to his beautiful coworker with whome he lived the best love story and while preparing to the wedding , my brother wanted to spend time with his friends as a single and decided to join them camping . And because he thought his future wife would disagree because it was only three weeks before their wedding and they had so many stuff to prepare together , he came up with an idea of lying to her and he told her that our uncle died and he had to travel to attend his funeral . Few days after he went camping leaving his fiancée to finish preparing for the wedding herself , she met my mother at the mall and she was surprised of seeing her there and not attending her brother’s funeral and asked her about How she is dealing with the loss of her brother.
Needless to say , the beautiful bride to be ,found out that her fiancé was lying and she broke up with him only two weeks before the wedding stating that she lost her trust in him and that she would never marry a liar .
Second of all , lies will always be uncovered no matter how clever the liar is .
As the famous eastern proverb says :”lies have no legs .” And when lies get uncoverd , liar becomes very embarrassed and ashamed of himself .
A very famous example , is what happened to president Clinton after the scandal of Monika lweinisky , although president Clinton denied any physical contact or relation with miss Lowiniskee , at the end the truth found its way to the light leaving the president of America in huge sham , and I believe that was one of the reason his wife lost the presidential competition with Donald Trump in 2016 .
Finally , never think that telling lies will make you any benefit on the long run , and remember , being honest is the most important building block of a healthy strong relationship between people .
