A school is a place where one receives basic knowledge about everything to make an upright citizen. However, the question remains, is it better to expose the professor's view to students in the classroom. Some people may feel if a teacher directly expresses their political or social views, it may distort the student's critical thinking skills. On the other hand, I believe teachers should make their views regarding these fields to their students because of three rationales, which I can explain in the subsequent paragraphs.
To begin with, students may face a lot of real circumstances right after their schooling, since the real world is soo cunning. It is a well-endorsed fact that students are receiving their basic education from their teachers. Therefore, professor's view is critical in molding the minds of students about that perspective. Our Biology professor always emphasizes the effect of one of the well addressed political problem- Abortion in our classes. He was against abortion and he always insisted us raise voice against abortion in whatever means we can. He elaborated on the health effects and the social effects of abortion which helped us to make a campaign in our school against this social threat. Moreover, he was up to date in reporting the news regarding the Republicans and Democrat's varied way of abolishing this. Thus, it is sure that nobody in our classroom or in our school may support or encourage the practice of abortion in the long run. This example clearly illustrates the fact that teacher's views have an indelible effect on a student's life.
Next, if teachers share their views, students can ask and clarify the doubts which give an in-depth knowledge of the topic. In a class, students are freer to ask questions and it is the responsibility of an efficient teacher to answer them. On top of that, substantial education can make a compelling citizen. For instance, a warmer climate is a threat to the entire world. The surge in population leads to increased utilization of resources and it's scarcity. If a teacher suggests measures to prevent excess fuel utilization like use eco- friendly fuel like the Ethanol and practices to keep surroundings cleaner, students can do it. Teachers can guide and clear doubts and ameliorate their activities.
In sum, teachers revealing opinions about the changing world is always beneficial to students.
By insisting their views to students and by clarifying doubts of children, a teacher can effectively mold a better future generation.
